Dine in the Dark

DID hero
An illuminating culinary journey into the world of the visually impaired.

Dine in the Dark is an extraordinary culinary experience designed to raise awareness about blindness and raise funds for local charities dedicated to enriching the lives of the visually impaired. It was pioneered in Zurich by a Swiss socialite and trendsetter who happened to be blind. By 1999 the growing popularity of the concept expanded into becoming a fine dining restaurant and social club. Since then, the concept has spread to Germany, Paris, London, and now, Bangkok at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.

We invite you to embark on a journey of sensory awareness while attended by visually impaired guides.

For each diner, the hotel will make a donation to the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand.

Dine in the dark allows you to get in touch with all of your senses - except one.

Switch off the lights and turn on your senses at "Dine in the Dark".

*** The Dine in the Dark experience is only recommended for children 12 years of age or older and accompanied by parents.***

Team Building & Corporate Event "Lights off" - A Unique Sensory Awareness Experience In the Dark

"Dine in the Dark" allows you to enjoy a team building event as never before. The unique sensory awareness experience gives your team a thought provoking glimpse into the lives of the blind. Dining in a completely dark environment, can help you overcome the feeling of disorientation and free yourself from the preconceptions governed by sight. It's an authentic and intense experience that encourages diners to interact and share on a new level. With the focus on listening rather than appearance and body language, many participants discover that it enhances creativity, self-confidence and communication skills.

After the activities, enhance the evening with a dining experience with your team and colleagues served in total darkness by our visually impaired guides.
